Joindre l’équipe | Join our Team

ImaginAtlas is currently looking for new fantasy and science fiction enthusiasts to join our team! You can contribute as an editor, staff writer, or columnist.

Editor

Editors at ImaginAtlas work with a small team of writers, lead pitch meetings, and review articles, providing detailed feedback based on our style guide. Writers are currently divided into an English Section and a French Section, but we particularly encourage editors with knowledge of both English and French to apply. .

Staff writer

Staff writers are a part of our core team of writers and contribute at least one article per semester. Staff writers may compose a variety of articles, including coverages of local events and reviews of new SF/F releases.

Columnist

Like staff writers, columnists are part of our core team of writers, but they will write regular columns (which are shorter than regular articles). Columnists may contribute to existing columns, such as Catch of the Month, or they may submit ideas for new columns.

No experience is necessary! Anyone can write for us, so long as they have a strong interest in fantasy and science fiction. We have an experienced team of editors who can help writers with anything from finding an idea and conducting interviews, to structuring your article and proofreading.

ImaginAtlas is always open to accepting work from one-time contributors. To do so, please email us at imaginatlas@gmail.com and include the following:

  1. The subject of your article (e.g. the title of the book you want to review);
  2. Your central thesis and arguments (this doesn’t have to be as formal as in an academic paper, but you should give us an idea of what you will be saying about your subject);
  3. Why you think your article is suited to ImaginAtlas.

Feel free to incorporate bullet points, images, and any other media that could support your pitch. Your pitch should be no longer than 500 words.

Please note that ImaginAtlas does not publish creative writing. ImaginAtlas also does not accept any AI-generated writing.
